About us
The Mustaqbal Center for Special Needs is a non-profit, non-governmental institution established in Somalia to cater to the specific requirements of individuals with disabilities. It was established in April 2016 with two sections: Kindergarten and Special Needs.
This includes children with special needs, as well as blind, deaf, and physically impaired individuals. Since its inception the organization has been actively working towards creating a suitable and nurturing environment for these individuals, with the aim of restoring their psychological well-being and facilitating their integration into society.
By providing dedicated schools staffed with trained teachers, Mustaqbal focuses on the social, intellectual, cognitive, perceptual, and linguistic development of each individual, tailoring their programs to meet their specific needs.
The center aims to alleviate the psychological strain on these individuals with disabilities and the families of disabled people and bridge the gap in their knowledge and understanding of how to effectively support their children with special needs. Furthermore, the center acknowledges the economic limitations faced by people with disabilities and their families, preventing them from seeking treatment outside of Somalia, and thus strives to provide local expertise and resources.

Organizatonal Objectives
• Comprehensive rehabilitation: To provide comprehensive rehabilitation services and support for individuals with special needs, focusing on their physical, cognitive, and emotional development.
• Inclusion: To facilitate the integration of children with special needs into mainstream society, promoting their inclusion and fostering positive interactions with their peers.
• Giving skills: To provide children with special needs with essential life skills, including literacy, numeracy, and practical skills, enabling them to lead independent and fulfilling lives.
• Equal Access: To create a conducive environment for quality education, ensuring that individuals with special needs have equal access to educational opportunities and resources.
• Education: To educate and train families about their children's disabilities, equipping them with the necessary knowledge and skills to effectively support and care for their children.
• Nurturing Potential: To identify and nurture the unique skills and talents of children with special needs, enabling them to utilize and enhance their abilities to their full potential.
• Community Building: To build community confidence and acceptance through motivational activities and cultural exchange programs, fostering understanding and inclusion.
• Positive Impact: To undertake any positive actions that contribute to the overall well-being and development of the society, with a focus on promoting the rights and welfare of individuals with special needs.

• Provision of educational materials and other equipment to special needs schools

• Psychosocial support sessions for the parts of the children affected by autism
• Medical Checkups for the children with special needs in the schools operated by Mustaqbal Center
• IBT and ABA certification training for the teachers working with children with special needs

For other net participants we can offer an expert guidance through trained staff, give an expert opinion, procure expert information and establish new contacts in the field of our work.
