About us

Sincere Heart Foundation - a charitable non-profit organization that began its journey in 2014, aims to create our society where every person affected by war, regardless of gender, age or circumstances, receives equal access to quality psychological assistance, support for adaptation and social integration. We believe in a future where women, children, youth and internally displaced persons can restore their mental resilience, adapt to new living conditions and realize their potential. By providing comprehensive support to families and paying special attention to children, we contribute to building a strong, united and inclusive Ukraine.

Our mission is to provide comprehensive support to various population groups, such as women, children, youth, internally displaced persons, and other representatives of vulnerable groups. We help them overcome the consequences of war through psychological rehabilitation, adaptation to new living conditions and social integration. In our work, we are guided by the principles of gender equality, inclusion and non-discrimination, ensuring equal access to quality assistance, support and opportunities for recovery and development.

Key Areas of Activity:
• Psycho-emotional support
• Educational and awareness-raising activities
• Professional training and transfer of expertise
• Research, analytics, and advocacy
• Habilitation programs for veterans and their families

Our projects:
• Recovery Camp - psycho-emotional rehabilitation program for mothers and children: Recovery Camp is a systematic program of psycho-emotional rehabilitation for mothers and children who have suffered from the war in Ukraine. Over four years, the program provides comprehensive psychological support — from crisis intervention to deep rehabilitation — with a focus on strengthening children's mental health and resource recovery for mothers.
• Comprehensive support for veterans and their families: A psycho-emotional rehabilitation program for Ukrainian demobilized military personnel aimed at restoring their mental health and that of their families. Within this project, participants receive qualified psychological and psychotherapeutic assistance aimed at reducing stress, overcoming trauma and improving overall well-being. Specialists work with military families to support their relationships and promote cooperation and mutual understanding within families.
• From Displacement to Inclusion - A Community-Based Support Model for Ukraine's Internally Displaced Children: The project is aimed at creating a sustainable model for integrating internally displaced children into local schools and communities in Lviv region. The project responds to key challenges faced by IDP children, including emotional vulnerability, social isolation, language barriers, discrimination, and prolonged online learning, which complicates their full integration into the educational environment.
• Humanitarian support for children and families: The charitable foundation "Sincere Heart" implements programs of psychosocial support for children and families affected by war, in close cooperation with international and national partners. An important component of this activity is receiving humanitarian aid, which is directly used for implementing the foundation's programs.
• Capacity building for community-based support model: This project aims to lay the foundation for creating a sustainable support system for mothers and children who were forced to leave their homes due to war, and their integration into new communities. The initiative is aimed at forming a model of assistance based on resources and interaction within the community, so that support becomes not only a response to a crisis, but part of long-term social development.
• Art of Recovery: Art of Recovery is a psycho-emotional support project for internally displaced children aged 5 to 10 years and their mothers who moved to Lviv in 2025 from the frontline regions of Ukraine. Project participants experienced the loss of home, separation from loved ones, prolonged stress and a difficult process of adapting to a new life.
• SCHOOL UP: digital competencies and psychosocial support: A development initiative aimed at improving the qualifications of school psychologists, providing support for their work in educational institutions, and increasing digital literacy of teachers.
• Art Care Bag: A comprehensive program aimed at supporting and helping communities in providing necessary humanitarian services, as well as planning and implementing projects for infrastructure restoration and socio-economic development.
• "MY FRIEND" - New program for children of Ukraine: An initiative aimed at meeting the social-emotional needs of young children and their parents in a humanitarian context. The main goal of the program is to help children aged 5 to 7 and their parents overcome trauma caused by violence, war or displacement.
• GRACE International Research (Global Research on Child Exploitation): The Sincere Heart Charitable Foundation, together with the international organization Terre des Hommes Netherlands, which protects children's rights and fights all forms of child exploitation, is implementing the GRACE international research in Ukraine.
