About us
Baye Fall e.V. was founded on October 17, 2010, in Stuttgart by female artists and musicians. The name is composed of “Baye” (father) and “Fall” (referring to a spiritual leader in Senegal). Our association sees itself as a community based on the teachings of Sufism. The focus is on mindful giving and receiving—a togetherness that is based on gratitude, respect, and inner connection.
The purpose of the association is to promote art and culture, strengthen international
mindedness, and promote the idea of international understanding and development cooperation.
Our goal is to bring people of different origins together through art, music, and cultural diversity and to act as a bridge builder between German and African culture.
BAYE FALL e.V. is committed to promoting a deeper understanding between European and African thinking, philosophy, culture, religion, and tradition. Through dialogue and intercultural exchange, we aim to strengthen understanding, tolerance, and mutual acceptance.
The main topics are:
• Migration
• Integration
• Culture
• Social engagement
Activities:
• Africa Festival Weilimdorf: A multi-day cultural festival with concerts by West African artists, an arts and crafts market, culinary offerings, and a children's program. The musical spectrum ranges from traditional percussion (djembe, bongo, bass drum) to modern genres such as rap, salsa, and rock.
• Participation in the Summer Festival of Cultures in cooperation with Forum der Kulturen Stuttgart e. V., the umbrella organization of migrant associations in Stuttgart. Part of the association's work is financed by the sale of food at events.
