About us

Phinda Foundation for Community Development (PHINDAFOCOD) is a Non Profit organization based in Chiradzulu District Malawi. It has been on the ground for 20 years for care and support of Orphans and other Vulnerable Children.

The main activities of the Organisation are HIV/AIDS Programs, ECD Programs, Income Generating Programs, Water & Sanitation Programs, Environmental, Human Rights & Health Programs.

Vision
• A healthy and thriving community with access to clean water and sanitation.
• An educated and skilled community driving sustainable development in Chiradzulu.

Mission
• To repair boreholes, ensuring clean water and hygiene in Chiradzulu schools.
• To improve education access, quality, and skills development for Chiradzulu's children.

Activities:
• Borehole Assessment: Conduct technical assessments
• Repair Works: Engage local mechanics to repair boreholes
• Sanitation Improvement: Install handwashing stations
• Training: Train school staff on maintenance

Project:
• Empowering Futures through Education: To enhance access to quality education and skills development for 1,000 children in Chiradzulu, Malawi by constructing a 2-classroom enhancing education quality and promoting a conducive learning environment.
• Improving menstruation hygiene: This 1-year project aims to improve menstrual hygiene and education, reduce early pregnancies and STIs, and empower 1,000 schoolgirls in Chiradzulu District, Malawi. The project will provide MHM training, distribute scholastic materials, train girls in making reusable sanitary pads, and supply mama kits to mothers.

For other net participants we can offer an expert guidance through trained staff, give an expert opinion, procure expert information and establish new contacts in the field of our work.
