About us

Oasis of Hope Community Ministry is a registered community - faith based organization, non-profit in nature.
Oasis of Hope empowers children to build resilience and develop essential life skills.

Activities:
• Food Pantry & Feeding Program: Many families in Mathare face hunger on a daily basis. Through a food pantry and regular feeding program, we aim to ensure that children, the elderly, and struggling households have access to basic nutrition.
• Care for Orphans, Widows, and Persons with Disabilities: We walk alongside the most vulnerable by providing care, counseling, and basic support services to orphans, widows, and those living with disabilities.
• Health, Sanitation, and Water Initiatives: Access to clean water and proper sanitation remains a serious challenge in our community. We desire to improve hygiene, health education, and safe water access for families, especially children.
• A Permanent Community Space: Currently, we operate in borrowed or temporary facilities that limit our work. Securing a modest permanent space will provide stability and a hub for all our programs.
• Youth & Community Empowerment: Equipping young people and families with skills, knowledge, and opportunities for long-term change.

Joash Okelo is the Project Manager of Oasis of Hope Community Ministry.

For other net participants we can offer an expert guidance through trained staff, give an expert opinion, procure expert information and establish new contacts in the field of our work.
