About us
BOUND FOR CHANGE is a legally registered NGO since March 2025, committed to ensuring that every child and adult in East Africa and other areas of intervention has the right to learn, grow, and thrive. Our organization was founded by individuals deeply rooted in the communities we serve, people who understand firsthand the challenges children and adults face when educational resources are scarce.
We currently operate in Kenya, Burundi, and Rwanda, and we are expanding into the Democratic Republic of Congo and other areas of intervention. Through partnerships with local organizations and grassroots institutions, we work to strengthen communities, schools, and local NGOs, because we believe sustainable change comes from empowering the people who know their communities best.
Our focus is on reaching the most underserved and remote communities, where access to libraries, textbooks, digital devices, and trained teachers is extremely limited. By providing books, essential learning materials, and digital tools, and connecting volunteer teachers to these areas, we bring education to children and adults who might otherwise be left behind. Every person deserves a chance to learn, and we are committed to making that a reality.

WHAT WE DO
We go beyond simple donations. Our approach is comprehensive, sustainable, and humancentered.
• We deliver both physical and digital learning tools to communities where resources are scarce.
• We bring education to schools, learning hubs, and remote villages that have little or no access to
libraries or reading materials.
• We train and mentor teachers, students, and adult learners to ensure lasting impact.
• We empower communities to take ownership of their educational development.
Our initiatives are culturally relevant, adaptable, and built in collaboration with grassroots
partners.
OUR ACTIONS
We collect, sort, and distribute books and digital devices, connect volunteer teachers, and collaborate with local entities to maximize impact. By prioritizing underserved and remote communities, we ensure that children and adults who face the greatest barriers to education are
not forgotten.
OUR PROGRAMS
• Books Distribution: We provide textbooks, storybooks, and culturally relevant literature to children and adults in communities with limited or no access to libraries.
• Devices Distribution: We supply laptops, tablets, calculators, and e-readers to expand access to digital learning.
• Scholastic Materials: We equip learners of all ages with essential tools to build strong foundations for learning.
• Volunteer Teacher Program: We connect skilled educators remotely to schools and community centers in underserved areas to enhance literacy, numeracy, and digital skills for children and adults alike.
• Community Partnerships: We collaborate with schools, libraries, adult learning centers, orphanages, and grassroots NGOs to co-create sustainable, locally-led educational solutions
BOUND FOR CHANGE is a newly established NGO dedicated to improving education access for vulnerable communities. Founded in January 2025, BOUND FOR CHANGE was born out of a shared belief in the power of education to break the cycle of poverty. Our founders saw the urgent need for educational resources in Rwanda and Burundi and decided to take action. With plans to expand across East Africa, we are just getting started.
The organization gathers and donates scholastic materials and hardcover books in diverse languages, while also providing digital devices and connecting volunteer teachers from France and other part of the world with grassroots organizations.

Our Actions

• Volunteer Teacher Program: Teachers are changing lives: In our vision of knowledge empowering every individual to reach their potential, having a strong team of skilled teachers is key. This is why one of our main development goals is connecting educators to underserved community-based schools remotely across Rwanda and Burundi. Volunteers help improve literacy, numeracy, and digital learning.
