Somali Awareness and Social Development Organization (SASDO) is a non-profit organization dedicated to addressing the complex humanitarian and development challenges faced by communities in Somalia. Established in 2017, SASDO has been at the forefront of delivering sustainable and impactful interventions to empower vulnerable populations and foster positive change.
At SASDO (Somali Awareness and Social Development Organization), we are dedicated to bringing hope, opportunities, and sustainable development to the people of Somalia.
Our mission is to empower and enhance the well-being of vulnerable populations in Somalia through sustainable and impactful humanitarian and development interventions. We are steadfast in our commitment to addressing the complex challenges faced by communities and promoting lasting change that upholds human dignity, social justice, and inclusive development.
SASDO envisions a prosperous Somalia where every individual has equal access to essential services, equitable opportunities, and a life of dignity. We strive for a future where communities are empowered, resilient, and self-sustaining, and where the potential of every individual is fully realized.
What we do
• Water, Sanitation, & Hygiene: Access to clean water, sanitation facilities, and hygiene education is fundamental to public health and well-being.
• Education & Skill Development: Recognizing education as a fundamental right and a key driver of sustainable development, SASDO's Education and Skill Development programs.
• Protection and Human Rights: Safeguarding the rights and well-being of vulnerable populations, including women and children, is at the core of our Protection and Human Rights programs.
• Gender-Based Violence (GBV) Prevention: Our GBV programs are led by women and tailored to the specific cultural and social contexts of Somalia. We work closely with local communities.
• Child Protection: Children are the future of Somalia. Our child protection programs aim to create safe environments for children, prevent exploitation and abuse.
• Health and Nutrition: Our Programs focus on maternal and child health, nutrition support, disease prevention, and emergency response Mobile health clinics.
• Youth and Women Empowerment: Program Goal: To provide a safe, structured, and conducive environment for youth to express themselves and Objective.
• Disability Rights and Advocacy: This programme seeks to contribute towards influencing positive changes and efficiency in the delivery of PWDs in terms of promoting.
• Disaster Risk Reduction: Disasters often follow natural hazards. A disaster’s severity depends on how much impact a hazard has on society and the environment.
Mohamed Mukhtar Hussein is the Executive Director of Somali Awareness and Social Development Organization (SASDO).
For other net participants we can offer an expert guidance through trained staff, give an expert opinion, procure expert information and establish new contacts in the field of our work.
