Über uns
Sirri Care Foundation (Sirri Care) is a Non-Governmental Organization that was founded in 2019 and incorporated in 2020 with the mission of empowering, preventing and protecting vulnerable communities. We strive to impact positive developmental changes in subaltern societies through Advocacy and Awareness creation, Education, Healthcare and Research.
Mission
To Protect Vulnerable Communities from natural and man-made disasters that threatens the dignity of especially Children, girls and Women through Advocacy, Participation, provision of relief materials and the prevention of human rights violation
Vision
We envisage a well-protected, self-reliant and healthy society, supported to become more economically, socially and emotionally developed.
Objectives:
• Promote respect for human rights before, during and after crisis situations.
• Enhance peace building, cultural sustainability and reintegration in post-conflict communities.
• Promote human dignity and self-reliance through Livelihoods strengthening.
• Enhance gender equality through education and advocacy for increasing women's participation in governance and decision-making processes.
• Promote the wellbeing of children and other vulnerable people.
What we do:
• Nutrition: In Northeast Nigeria, Sirri Care Foundation employ various strategies and interventions to address the Nutrition sector’s challenges. Here are some common approaches and actions taken by Sirri Care Foundation: Emergency Food Assistant; Treatment of Malnutrition; Food Security and Livelihood support; Wash (Water and Sanitation Hygiene); Health system Strengthening; Early Warning system and Monitoring; Advocacy and policy.
• Protection: Sirri Care denounces all form of human rights violations before, during and after crisis, especially those of children (child protection) and Women (GBV). Our interventions are geared towards supporting and assisting victims to become more empowered
• Education: Through our programming, we ensure safe and inclusive education for all in all situations, including Education in Emergency (EIE)
• Health: We support programming for Mental Health and Psychosocial Support (MHPSS) and Sexual and Reproductive Health (SRH)
• Early Recovery and Livelihoods: Strengthen access to livelihoods by creating income-generating opportunities, improving access to live skill acquisition, and basic social services, and supporting social cohesion through working for and with communities. coordination with partners to support early recovery and livelihood response.
• Advocacy: Through our public and private advocacy, we raise awareness of Humanitarian crisis and the needs of affected people. We advocate for the protection of Children, Girl child and Women and respect National and International law.
Dr. Susan Tanwie is the CEO of Sirri Care Foundation.
For other net participants we can offer an expert guidance through trained staff, give an expert opinion, procure expert information and establish new contacts in the field of our work.
