Congo Children Trust is a UK based charity which is mobilising a grass roots international network to support the Kimbilio project, who support the needs of children living on the streets in D.R. Congo. Through Kimbilio, our partner in D.R. Congo, the Congo Children Trust non-profit has been working hard to support street connected children in Lubumbashi, the largest city in the former Katanga province and the second largest in D.R. Congo, and the wider region. Our charity mission is simple yet profound: to protect, nurture, educate, and empower the most vulnerable children in D.R. Congo.
Through education, healthcare, and vocational training, the D.R. Congo charity strives to transform lives and create brighter futures. Since our inception in 2009, our journey has been one of relentless commitment and impactful change. From the bustling streets of Lubumbashi to the remote mining areas, we've touched the lives of thousands of children, offering them safety, education, and a path to a better life.

What we do:
• Kimbilio Day centre: We provide holistic care to children on the streets and try to get them back to their families where possible and appropriate.
• Kimbilio Homes: At our four homes we offer children the chance of stability and care provided by the Congolese families who live on site.
• Kimbilio Primary School: We provide a high standard of education to former street children, as well as local children who otherwise would not be able to go to school.
• Kimbilio Young Mums' Training School: We offer hair and beauty training to enable teenage mums to have new positive opportunities to support their young children and prevent them from having an upbringing on the streets.
• Kimbilio Sewing Schools: We provide training to mothers of children who have been on the streets due to poverty, to learn new skills which will help them to feed their children again.

Ian Harvey is the Kimbilio’s Founder and Director of Congo Children Trust.

For other net participants we can offer an expert guidance through trained staff, give an expert opinion, procure expert information and establish new contacts in the field of our work.
