Über uns
Founded in 2018, Buloba Women's Confectionery Group (BWCG) is a proudly registered community-based organization situated in the vibrant Wakiso District, with our outreach efforts extending into the neighboring Bukomansimbi District. Our mission is centered around the empowerment of the most vulnerable groups within our community, and we achieve this through a diverse array of sustainable programs and projects tailored to their unique needs. Our initiatives range from baking delicious confections to providing vocational education and training opportunities. By focusing on skill development and income-generating activities, we strive to enhance the lives of those we serve, creating pathways to a brighter and more independent future for individuals and families alike.
Our Mission
• Empower and Uplift: To support widows, orphans, and the vulnerable through sustainable initiatives.
• Community Development: Offering Child Sponsorship, Youth and Women Empowerment programs to transform lives.
• A Self-Sufficient Community: To foster resilience among families and ensure a better future for all.
Our Empowerment Programs
• Child Sponsorship: Providing educational support for orphans and vulnerable children to ensure they have access to schooling, materials, and opportunities to thrive in life and contribute positively to their communities.
• Youth Empowerment: Offering training and resources to young adults in the community, focusing on the development of skills necessary to secure decent work and make a difference in their lives.
• Women Empowerment: Helping women gain independence through vocational training, business support, and access to resources that enable them to support their families.
• Care for Elderly People: Providing support and care services for elderly individuals to ensure they live comfortably and with dignity while receiving the necessary assistance.
• Agricultural Initiatives: Implementing sustainable farming projects that promote food security and income generation for families, enhancing their living standards.
• Life Skills Training: Equipping community members with essential life skills that include financial literacy, health awareness, and self-care practices to improve their overall well-being.
Projects:
• Bakery Project: Our bakery initiative is designed to provide young individuals and women with a comprehensive array of baking skills. Through this project, we aim to empower them, fostering confidence and creativity while equipping them with the tools necessary for personal and professional growth in the culinary arts
• Vocational Education: Our offerings include specialized training in tailoring, carpentry, and computer studies, as well as instruction in essential life skills.
• Farming/Livestock: We are proud to provide a diverse range of comprehensive training programs focused on various aspects of farming. These programs include extensive instruction on crop cultivation, poultry management, and livestock care. By equipping individuals with these vital skills, we not only enhance local food production but also significantly contribute to the overall well-being of the project beneficiaries and the surrounding community.
