Malika Development Organization-Nepal (MDO-Nepal) is a non-profitable, non-governmental and social organization working in Achham district. It has been working among downtrodden people, women and children who are living in the vicious circle of traditional and conservative society that knowingly or unknowingly tramples and discriminates against women, Dalits and financially weak people. MDO has been working in education, poverty reduction, drinking water and sanitation, Agro-livestock promotion and capacity-building of Community Organizations (COs) and resource poor people in Far remote area of Achham district.
It was established and registered with registration no 2050/1638in 2050 B.S. (1994 A.D.) in District Administration Office, Achham affiliated with Social Welfare Council in the same year.

Malika Development Organization-Nepal is dedicated and determined to empowerment the backward and economically weak communities, women and children for their sustainable development

Goal
Our main motto is to support in the remarkable reduction of gender and social discrimination by utilizing local resources and materials for poverty reduction through community mobilization.

Our working themes:
• Education and child protection: Through the Integrated Community Development Project in Achham, we are implementing education-focused programs aimed at providing quality education to children from vulnerable, marginalized, economically disadvantaged families, as well as orphans. We also serve as a facilitator, bridging the relationship between sponsors and these children to ensure continued support for their education. Our efforts are focused on creating equal learning opportunities and fostering a brighter future for every child. We sincerely appreciate the generous support of our donors in making this mission possible.
• Livelihood and empowerment: Through the Integrated Community Development Project in Achham, we are supporting various livelihood initiatives to enhance the economic well-being of vulnerable and marginalized families, including those of sponsored children. These programs are implemented in close collaboration with local cooperatives. Our aim is to promote sustainable income generation and improve overall living conditions. We are grateful for the continued support of our partners in making this impact possible.
• Health and sanitation: In addition to ensuring access to quality education for children from disadvantaged, marginalized, and vulnerable families, we are also implementing health and sanitation programs to support their overall well-being. These initiatives focus on improving the health status of children and their communities. All activities are being carried out under the Integrated Community Development Project in Achham. We deeply value the collaboration and support of our partners in advancing these efforts.
• Disaster risk reduction: MDO-Nepal has been actively conducting various awareness activities in the project areas focused on disaster risk reduction. These programs are implemented with necessary financial and technical support from our valued partners. The project is a result of meaningful collaboration with support from multiple donor organizations. We sincerely appreciate the continued partnership and trust in our shared goals.
• Good governance: MDO- Nepal has promotes good governance through the various projects. We focus on enhancing transparency, accountability, and citizen engagement in public processes. By strengthening institutions and empowering communities, we drive positive systemic change. Our initiatives aim to build a more inclusive, responsive, and corruption-free society.

Objectives:
• Improve the living standard of the backward classes of people who are socio-economically poor,
• Enhance reforestation in order to protect landslide & decrease to environment pollution,
• Provide awareness on health and sanitation in order to establish good hygiene practices,
• Improve the social status and sensitization of backward people along with women by conducting various preliminary educational programme,
• Support and emphasize on the voice of disadvantaged people,
• Coordinate with government and non-government organizations for the feasibility of community infrastructure development programme,

Him Bahadur Vishwakarma is the Chairperson of Malika Development Organization-Nepal (MDO-Nepal).
