Qui sommes-nous

Childhope is a non-government, a non-profit making organization with a view of attaining child survival, reducing poverty and the escalating pandemic of HIV/AIDS in the rural communities.

Childhope, established in August 1998, works in chief Mwanachingwala`s area of Magoye in the Southern Province of Zambia, approximately 165 km from Lusaka.

Childhope received good response from the people. The initial goal was focused on improving the living standards of the vulnerable and to reduce poverty among the rural children in the rural communities. However, due to the continuous increase of children becoming orphaned due to their parents dying of HIV/AIDS and its related diseases, Childhope also started embarking on HIV/AIDS awareness programs. The organization also gives support to children, that are orphaned/affected by HIV/AIDS.

Childhope also has child-feeding programmes for children with a health component of availing common drugs to the children i.e. de-worming drugs, anti-malaria drugs, anti-diarrhoeal drugs and anti-bilharzias drugs. There is also the establishment of pre-schools and day care centres for rural children, putting up building for early childhood development, HIV/AIDS fight, which involves a lot of youth and women.

For other net participants we can offer overnight facilities. Further we can offer an expert guidance through trained staff, give an expert opinion, procure expert information and establish new contacts in the following fields: orphans and vulnerable children.
