The Rural Integrated Development Trust is a voluntary organization working for the rural mass in Chengam block South India.
They are catering the need of the rural mass on
- health, nutrition, HIV/AIDS,
- education, vocational training,
- agriculture, environment, water and sanation,
- women and child development.
The Rural Integrated Development Trust is working in 23 hamlet villages. For the economic development of the rural villageres they are giving special trainings to the women on income generation, awareness on health, family planning and RTI/UTI. Supplementary nutrition is provided to the malnourshed under five childrens, non formal education to the school dropout childern and child labour, environmental awarenss in school and colleges on the protection of the environment. The children are very much intrested in learning more things to read. A mini library has been built to the children to spend their time in it.
Further women are giving special leadership training for the upliftment of the rural women who make their families can come up the life.
Water, housing and sanitation are also some of the main focus that the project is concentrated to meet the need of the ruralities. Toilets are constructed to the individual families. They have been constructed around 850 toilets so far and they are planing sappling around 5,000 every year in the villages and forest belt.
For other net participants we can offer overnight facilities. Further we can give an expert guidance through trained staff and establish new contacts in the field of our work.
