About us

Allied Communities Network (ALCON) was founded in 2007 in Orlando, Johannesburg South Africa, in order to raise and distribute capital to fund grassroots projects and programmes that support the improvement of the health, social and economic conditions of the poor and vulnerable social groups - children, youth, women, dispersed people, victims of war, poverty, social and administrative injustice in the poor urban and rural communities of South Africa.

The organisation seeks the participation of people with a significant interest in the health, social and economic welfare of children, women, youth and vulnerable groups and invites their support through private giving.

We support our beneficiary communities of practice through the promotion of community development, relief and advocacy, for the respect and observation of the rule of law, universal human rights and support for education and training, health, cultural, artistic, social and economic development efforts targeting the beneficiaries above.
