Qui sommes-nous

"Sol de Primavera" – in English "Spring Sun" - is the name of our social project in Quito, Ecuador, founded in 1997. The spring sun symbolises new life and new hope. Sol de Primavera is politically and religiously neutral, offering primary education and psychosocial support to young people from the disadvantaged neighbourhoods of Quito.
The focus is on social and community work in these neighbourhoods. Work on the projects on site is carried out solely by Ecuadorians. The project receives financial and operational support from Switzerland.
The Sol de Primavera project is divided into the three axes "Centro", "Sol Salud" and "Trabajo social".
• The focus of Centro is on education and training.
• "Sol Salud" is the health centre and
• "Trabajo social" involves social and community work.

The project Primavera Zürich and the Association Primavera Lausanne are responsible for financing the project. Each association currently consists of a six-member committee, all volunteers who work free of charge. In addition to fundraising activities, we also take part in markets where we sell products manufactured in the project. We receive part of our financial support from the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation.
