The Model Welfare Association (GOP Regd. NGO in 1992) is an association of successful yet fiercely patriotic domestic and expatriate Pakistani professionals, working for the development of subsidized/affordable education & healthcare facilities all over Pakistan, staffed by, and for the benefit of the majority common citizens of Pakistan.

Since 1982 the voluntary social welfare organization is working in the field of planning, installation, development, deployment, delivery and operation of modern quality education & healthcare infrastructure and facilities, specifically for the benefit of the lower middle class and under-privileged sections of Pakistani society, with a special core focus on children, women and orphans. The non-governmental organization consists of domestic and expatriate Pakistani philanthropists, who are fiercely patriotic, career professionals, businessmen and industrialists.

MWA believes in operating transparently, quietly and efficiently for the common good of the ordinary masses, without any ulterior motives, favour or personal interest. It is self-funding through its own personal resources and categorically refuse to accept any kind of foreign assistance, of any kind, which invariably always has "strings attached".

Mohtarma Halima Khanum Bashir is the Chairperson of the Model Welfare Association.
