Score Foundation is a not-for-profit organization located in New Delhi, India. Founded in 2002, we work towards disseminating information on living life with blindness, through our project Eyeway, in an effort to minimize this discrimination and help empower the visually impaired community of India, for them to become contributing members of society.

It is the vision of Score Foundation that people with visual impairment are regarded as fully fledged members of family, community, and society.

Our Activities
• Eyeway.org: Set up in 2003 the Eyeway website www.eyeway.org is the flagship project of Score Foundation. Eyeway is an interactive information hub on anything and everything related to blindness. Our goal is to provide all the information you might need, because we believe that information changes lives. Our objective is to use information and knowledge to inform, inspire and empower people.
• Radio: Our Hindi radio show Eyeway Yeh Hai Roshni Ka Karawan uses real life stories, interviews, features, discussions, and radio drama, to share knowledge about living a fulfilling life with vision impairment.
• Helpdesk: The Eyeway Helpdesk is a vital channel through which we share information about life with blindness. The Helpdesk provides information, motivates people, counsels them and in turn links them to other organizations and professional who might be able to offer help. To date we have had around 8000 queries.
• Publications: The recent amendment to the Copyright (Amendment) Bill 2012, has enabled persons with visual impairment, dyslexia and other print disabilities, their families and friends, as well as non-profit organisations, libraries and educational institutions to take any book and convert it into Braille, audio, large-font and digital formats, without seeking prior permission of the publisher.
• Advocacy: Over the years there have been an increasing number of calls to the Eyeway Helpdesk from individuals who have experienced some form of discrimination as a result of their impairment. Score Foundation recognised that it wasn´t enough to just deal with these calls on an individual basis and that there was a need to actively and publicly campaign for long term, sustainable changes to policy or practice for the visually impaired community in India. Workshops, Events and Talks: n addition to the various Workshops and trainings, we are also regularly invited by different organisations to deliver lectures/talks. We also present papers in seminars and conferences on the area of our expertise, as well as about our organisation and its activities.
• Research: The research department at Score Foundation is like a lynchpin that provides a quality knowledge base and supports other departments within the organization.
• Cricket: Cricket is essentially a sight dependent game, and this made it near impossible for the blind youth to ever play the game. The earliest known form of blind cricket employed tin cans and sticks. The noise from the tin cans was used to estimate the position of the can and the stick was used to hit it. The method was fine-tuned and this in turn led to the development of plastic balls with ball bearing inside. With the help of audio clues and underarm bowling, cricket for the blind became a recognized sport.
