The Direct Aid to Tana (DHFT) aid organization was founded in Matatoka, Sierra Leone, in November 2023 and was registered in the Tonkolili District in in February 2024. The office address of DHFT is c/o Mister Mohamed Okoya; 27 Back Off EBK College, Magburaka.
Our project aims to empower adolescent girls and boys in three primary schools in Tane Chiefdom to take positive action to address the challenges that girls and boys face.
What we do:
• Our main task is to find sponsors here in Germany who support children's school attendance, such as providing initial school equipment, school uniforms and covering costs for other school supplies.
• We would also like to take advantage of the opportunity and provide help to renovate the existing school in Matatoka.
• We would like to support kindergartens with toys for the children, possibly also the construction of children's playgrounds
• We have built a well in Matatoka so that the local people have a water source and no longer have to walk into the jungle to get water.
• We would also like to support social objects with solar power production.
Rainer Höpfer is the founder of Direct Help for Tana (DHFT).
