About us

Bakonjo Rural Women Front for Community Development (BRWOFFCOD) formally known as Thuyilweko women foundation for community development is a women led community-based organization formed in Kasese District of Uganda in 2008. The organization was initially formed by 10 women, and currently we are 45 members who are all women. The organization is located in Nyakirango Village, Kasese-District-Uganda, East Africa. BRWOFFCOD was primarily setup to empower girls & women at the grass root level.

The mission is to empower women and local communities through active and collective participation for poverty eradication, community sustainable development and growth.

The vision is to ensure poverty free communities, sustainable development, and growth.

The organization area of operation are sustainable agriculture, health, entrepreneurship, environmental conservation, savings and credit, human rights and vocational skill promotion.

The objectives of the organization are:
• To eradicate poverty
• To promote girl child education
• To promote gender equity.
• To increase access to clean water
• To increase food production
• To promote sanitation and hygiene
• To promote vocational training
• To promote health
• To promote environmental conservation
• To promote entrepreneurship.

Projects:
• Vegetable growing: The project aims of improving the nutrition of the women and their family members, and income generation after sell of vegetables
• Savings and credit
• Sanitation and hygiene

For other net participants we can offer an expert guidance through trained staff, give an expert opinion, procure expert information and establish new contacts in the field of our work.
