In improving the welfare of Learners who are Hard of Hearing, Enlight Abilities and its partner Zayed Higher Organization for People of Determination have conducted their 2nd stage in supporting difficulties of Hearing student’s in Chipata at Gonda Primary School, Lushomo Community School in Monze and Brilliant Minds Academy in Solwezi. It is our hope that these Hearing Aids will improve Access, Participation, and Achievement among Learners who are Hard of Hearing.

Enlight Abilities (EA) Organisation, founded in 2018, is an independent non-government and nonprofit organization based in Zambia and dedicated to empowering people with disabilities to fulfill their full potentials, attain full dignity and rights to enjoy equal opportunities and become a productive citizen of the Country.

Developmental Objective
Improved capacity and ability of the target communities to demand for and access to inclusive economic, social (health and education) and legal protection services.

Programs:
1 Provision of Assistive Devices - Inclusion for kids with disabilities into the school
2 Providing of physical needs - wheelchairs, hearing aids, white canes, crutches etc.
3 Community Education: Helping and educating families - Our volunteers educate families with children with disabilities on how to advocate for inclusion and integration.
4 Outreach and health assessments

Miyoba Hamuhuma is the Chief Executive Officer of Enlight Abilities (EA) Organisation.

For other net participants we can offer an expert guidance through trained staff, give an expert opinion, procure expert information and establish new contacts in the field of our work.

Enlight Abilities Organization team empowering a child with physical and intellectual disability in a remote area of Chipata with a wheelchair acquired through its partner, Zayed Higher Organization for People with Determination
Timothy, the 14 years old boy who is ever jovial benefited a wheelchair from Enlight Abilities Organization. He has since gone back to school after being empowered with a mobility aid.
The Head of Magwero School for the deaf fitting in a hearing aid to a student. This was during the time when Enlight Abilities and its partner, Zayed Higher Organization for People of Determination donated 100 units of hearing aids to the deaf school with the aim of enhancing quality education.
Enlight Abilities with support from Rehabilitation International undertook some physical rehabilitation of Magwero school for the blinds in order to make it accessible for students with disabilities
Enlight Abilities trained leaders of the Organization of People with Disabilities(OPDs) on Human Rights and built their capacities on governance issues.
