Über uns

Together For Better Foundation (T4B) was founded with a passion for education and the drive to empower less privilegedmembers of society. Its mission is to provide access and education about menstrual health to disadvantaged and less privileged girls and women in marginalized and rural communities throughout Kenya.
Mrs. Aruna Varsani, the founder of T4B, is dedicated to empowering girls in Africa. She actively collaborates with change makers around the world to create opportunities for young women, enabling them to lead dignified lives.

Our work
• Our work primarily focuses on marginalized areas and slums, where women and girls face daily challenges due to poverty, lack of affordable sanitary solutions, and limited knowledge about menstrual health.
• Education is a central focus of our mission because we believe it is essential for fostering an informed society and eradicating poverty.
• By promoting sustainable sanitary pads and providing learning materials, we aim to create informed communities, challenge misconceptions, and empower girls and women to face the world with renewed confidence and freedom.

Our mission is to reduce period poverty in communities with vulnerable girls and women by empowering them with better menstrual health management through education and sustainable sanitary kits for a better life.

Our vision is to empower girls and women to have better opportunities in life through a cottage industry that manufactures and distributes sustainable sanitary kits.

What we do:
• Menstrual Health Management: With a strong heritage of advocating for and advancing the rights of vulnerable women through education and reusable sanitary pads, we inspire and empower a new generation of better-informed women in marginalized communities in Kenya.
• Literacy Promotion: We share the belief that better education empowers communities to better opportunities for a better life away from poverty and vice, and moreover a more informed individual builds a better society. We achieve this through our yearly book drive, working with partners and stakeholders through the “Smallest library in Africa Project”, and our volunteer network to gather text books, notebooks and virtual learning resources. The focus of our solution-based approach is based on supporting the national school curriculum, offering text books and scarce learning materials; and the adoption of modern technology through a structured digital learning program.
• Tailoring Workshops: We hold monthly training workshops serving a capacity of 8 tailors with the 8 machines. During the 4-hour course, each student learns the full process of fabric selection, cutting, tailoring, adding the velcro and adding the label for packaging.

For other net participants we can offer an expert guidance through trained staff, give an expert opinion, procure expert information and establish new contacts in the field of our work.
