Sobre nosotros

Fundación Visibilia is a non-profit non-governmental organization created in 2014. We work to make culture and written information accessible to people with intellectual disabilities and people with reading difficulties. We work for the inclusion of people with disabilities
Fundación Visibilia works to reduce inequalities by shortening the cognitive gap that impacts society.
What we do
Therefore we adapt and create texts and communication materials using the “Easy-to-Read” method (E2R) and plain language, but also trains companies and institutions.
Plain language is a RIGHT recognized by the International Convention on Persons with Disabilities (In Argentina, Law 26.378, with constitutional rank).
We contribute to the education and culture of people with reading difficulties who can only access to knowledge through materials adapted into plain language.

Visibilia is part of several networks in Argentina and worldwide. We have been acknowledged as cognitive accessibility and inclusion experts.

Services:
• Visibilia Editorial
Drafting, adaptation, revision and editing of texts and books that the Foundation decides to edit or agree to its edition with other publishers and organizations. Editorial Visibilia edits, publishes, writes and validates books and texts of all kinds in Easy Read. We promote and make knowledge, literature, and all relevant information of social or legal nature accessible. The books are distributed free to schools and public libraries.
• Advice and Consulting
Adaptation of legal texts and informative documents to a simpler language for institutions, social entities and companies that want to improve communication with their target audience or offer their communication in an inclusive way.
We advise institutions and companies on information accessibility.
• Training
We organize workshops for reading dynamics and writing techniques in Easy Read for teachers and professionals.
• Reading Groups
We organize reading groups for people with reading difficulties to help introduce themselves to the pleasure and the right to read.
