About us

Established in 1992 Eye Hear Foundation, formerly Cataract Foundation Philippines Inc. (CFPI), is a non-stock, non-profit, national organization that provides vision and hearing health interventions, and envisions that no Filipino goes needlessly deaf and blind.
In 2003, CFPI opened its Hearing Center to help address the magnitude of hearing impairment which is three (3) times higher than visual impairment.
CFPI has been a partner of CBM International since 1995.

We work with stakeholders, decision makers and other like-minded individuals and organizations to ensure that EYEsight and hEARing health services are integrated into basic health services to fully achieved and realized the Sustainable Development Goals and the so-called Good Health for ALL=Universal Health Care.

Current programs and activities:
Cataract and other eye surgeries for both children and adult
Community & School Screening
Provision of spectacles for school children
Primary Eye Care Training
Alliance Building
• Mobilizing pediatric ophthalmologists and pedia inclined ophthalmologists
• Mobilizing optometrists to help with screening of high school students to identify uncorrected refractive errors
• Getting Local Government Units and line agencies to help with dissemination of information, identification of patients, transport of patients to eye centers for diagnosis and surgery
• Networking with service organizations (Rotary, Soroptomists) and other NGOs
• Referral of irreversible conditions for education and rehabilitation to other NGOs

Rebie Relator is the Executive Director of Eye Hear Foundation.
