About us

Adaptive Technology for Rehabilitation, Integration, and Empowerment of the Visually Impaired (ATRIEV) is a nonprofit organization that was put up by a group of blind computer enthusiasts to break barriers and go beyond the so-called limitations of persons with visual impairment. Through assistive technology, we’ve opened paths for blind and sight-impaired to access higher education and mainstream employment.
ATRIEV aims to transform the visually impaired and their communities through assistive technology to be positive contributors of the society.

Vision
To be the leading innovator and champion of technology-based education for persons with visual impairment and other disability.

Mission
To initiate, implement and facilitate programs, projects, activities and services for the empowerment, rehabilitation, and inclusion of persons with visual impairment.

What we do
ATRIEV offers high-quality computer education to people with disabilities & those who work with them. Using computers, the blind can now do what most sighted people can do: surf the web, send, and receive emails, write articles, make calculations and even participate in social media.
Our IT-enabled training programs have produced blind contact center agents, virtual assistants, on-line content writers, transcriptionists, cross-sell agents software analyst and a search engine optimization manager. But technology is only a tool. ATRIEV also focuses on the blind person himself/herself when we conduct life skills workshops, personality development workshops, and work ethics.

Trainings:
• Basic ICT for Teachers Training (Windows or Android)
• Parent-Child Digital Team Learning (Windows or Android)
• General Transcription
• Basic Web Design and Web Accessibility
• Inclusive Design
• Digital Business Basics
• Digital Content Creation

Services:
• Web Accessibility Auditing
• Transcription
• Presentation Skills Workshop
• Disability Sensitivity Workshop
• Technology Demo
