About us

Support Organization of Parents with Disabilities (SOPADI) in Uganda is a local community organisation set up in January 2020 by a team of young mothers with disabilities to fight for the rights of other parents with disabilities.
We believe that every girl and woman with disability has a right to parenthood which is being denied to many of our members. We advocate ending sexual and gender violence, economic empowerment, family legal rights, access to inclusive sexual and reproductive health rights for all disabled mothers in Jinja, Uganda.

Our vision is to support disabled parents as the primary spokespersons for themselves in protecting and ensuring the rights of all parents with disabilities and their children”.
