Qui sommes-nous

Tabitha Global Care Germany is a non-profit association founded in 2016, which is involved in helping various projects in Africa. We aim to create a sustainable basis for people, enabling them to lead a better life.

In reference to the charitable Tabitha from Acts 9, the association receives its meaningful name and its philosophy of standing up for other people. The current focus is on Uganda and Zambia and local self-help projects. Tabitha benefits from close cooperation and personal contact with project partners on site. This enables us to carry out effective and goal-oriented work, so that the help is guaranteed to arrive where it is urgently needed. Transparency and control are very important to us. Tabitha provides regular reports on what is being achieved through personal support.

How do we help?
• Help for self-help: The key to self-help lies in imparting knowledge. Tabitha Global Care
works according to this principle, because education is the key to a better future for children and young people. A solid school education lays the foundation for the future for young people.
Self-help groups are formed with poor women and knowledge is passed on.
• Children's rights: As early as 1989, the United Nations recognized the rights of children with their Convention on the Rights of the Child. Almost every country in the world has agreed on this. So that such agreements do not remain merely lip service, it requires consistent implementation. Tabitha is committed to ensuring that children can grow up in a safe environment and receive a helpful school education.
• Sponsorships: Tabitha mediates sponsorships for needy children. The children live in a family, so
the funds go into the family and help the whole family. School fees are often paid directly to the school. A patron can follow the development of the child and the entire family.
• Humanitarian aid: Again and again, disasters shake our world. Tabitha Global Care works in a
network of experienced partners to provide help quickly and sustainably. Thus the help is designed as efficiently as possible. From the outset, Tabitha involves those affected in the planning and implementation of the measures.
• Social work: Tabitha invites people to community centres to help. This includes therapy offers, for example in the event of abuse, violence or illness. But the centres are also contact points for children and families in need. Together we look for solutions to the respective problems and stand by them. Workers are also always in discussion with the respective state bodies.

Projects:
• Sponsorships for children: With a sponsorship, school education, further training and a caring,
personal support are guaranteed.
• Water Projects: Tabitha Global Care aims to improve water quality by drilling wells at key points in villages, thus guaranteeing that residents have constant and reliable access to drinking water. In addition, clean toilet facilities are provided in villages.
• Family support: To ensure that families have enough food, Tabitha sets the focus
on self-help projects. For example in the field of animal husbandry and agriculture.
• Housing: If the man dies of AIDS, the women are not only left behind with their children,
but are often expelled from their family environment and marginalized. We create living space for
these people!
• Seminars / education: In addition to material help, imparting knowledge creates a necessary basis. Further training programs enable a better and healthier life in the long term and sustainable
life.
• Tabitha Village: Tabitha Village is being built in Kawolokota, Uganda. With the idea of a "village in the village," a social and cultural centre can be created for residents. A community centre ensures
that orphans become part of the community. It also offers space for seminars and training courses.
