Qui sommes-nous

Founded in November 2014, BIB (Association for Intercultural Sensitization and Educational Work in the Federal Republic of Germany) is a non-governmental organization that focuses on developmental education and integration work as well as the promotion of intercultural competence and development cooperation.
BIB is committed to, among other things, highlighting global connections and thereby making a contribution to international understanding between the Global North and Global South and to promoting international solidarity and justice.

What we do:
• Provide development policy information and do education work in Germany: We are involved nationwide with our diverse and interactive educational offerings on the subject of global learning. The aim is to deal with solutions to global problems; to promote a just world through a change of perspective, self-reflection and critical debate.
• Promotion of participation: Commitment to employment and integration work through careers advice, training placement, business start-up advice and intercultural sensitization. Strengthening the participation of migrants is a very important foundation stone of our work. This is done on the basis of the various things we offer migrants and refugees, through target-oriented support or practical advice on labour market-related, integration-promoting and professional professionalisation. This also includes the implementation of cultural measures.
• Foreign partnerships: organization and implementation of foreign projects in social and educational areas.

Through our activities, we create a public space for exchange on global economic and political developments, make complex global power relations recognizable and encourage reflection on one's own role and responsibility in society. We contribute to enabling migrants and refugees to successfully develop their integration or participation in society. Our association is also committed to fair, international development cooperation.
For the above purpose, BIB maintains good cooperation with other associations and umbrella organizations, charitable organizations as well as public institutions and international organizations nationwide.
