Karunai Karangal India (KIND), registered in 2009, is a secular, non-political, non-profit charitable Trust engaged in the development and emancipation of poor girl- child through free education, accommodation and personal growth. Our Home for our children is situated in Chinnababusamudram Village, Kandamangalam in the District of Vizhupuram, Tamil Nadu.

Our vision
• To provide educational opportunity for poor, rural, disadvantaged girl children.
• To transform their miserable lives of poverty and uneducation through positive and effective care and support with holistic approach and good educational foundation into educated, self-sufficient, respected and dignified persons in the mainstream of Indian society.
• Raising awareness and importance of education and improving the level of life skills and competency of the girl child.

What we do
We provide free education and vocational training to the rural poor girls who have no parents or whose parents are economically very poor. “Education of Girl-Child is the most critical areas of empowerment for women” – Unicef. Helping the poor working mothers by providing free day-care for their infant children while they are at work.

Why we do
We work to alleviate (reduce) the cycle of poverty among the rural poor house-holds through education of girl-child.. Community development is possible only through education. “Girl’s education is a lifeline to development” – Unicef.

Our solutions
• Education: Education is never an option but a necessity. We strive with utmost passion and dedication to educate every girl child below the poverty line in our sphere of influence. We eagerly seek to impart high standard education that has the power to wipe out ignorance and to enlighten young, vibrant minds.
• Development: Development is of prime importance for survival and progress. Our well-researched and productive development schemes focus on upliftment of families below the poverty line through the women of the community. We cater to their needs by making them independent to sustain their livelihood.
• Empowerment: Empowerment is the key to unlock one’s potential to the maximum. We have witnessed that helping someone in terms of money is short-lived. We make every possible effort to empower our target group through education, job training and also products supply with longer credit period.

For other net participants we can offer an expert guidance through trained staff, give an expert opinion, procure expert information and establish new contacts in the field of our work.
