Qui sommes-nous

The charitable organisation Nice-to-be-Nice – Gambia e.V. was founded in Flensburg, June 2016.
Our main goal is to support schools and enable the pupils to get an education. Our first project will be furnishing the school “Muhammed…” in Kanifing. Furthermore, “Nice to be Nice e.v.” will finance the renovation of classrooms and school lunches for the pupils on a regular basis. We will send clothes, shoes and household articles to the organisation Al-Madinah…. In Gambia.

Our Projects:
• A B A T – Alieu Bun Abi Talib School - Sanyang´s Primary and Senior Secondary School for English and Arabic: The population of this school is 1240 students. (652 boys + 588 girls). Some come in the morning and some in the afternoon. There are 17 classrooms. Many of the rooms are very badly in need of chairs, desks, cupboards and any other furniture. There are a total number of 26 teachers out of which 3 are female. There is 1 room for computer classes. There is a small Bakery producing cake and bread at a reduced price for the students. This school also needs reading and writing materials, schoolbags, shoes and bicycles for students coming from far away places and items for recreation like football, basketball, table tennis.
• Inventory for the Muhammed Yadelieu English Arabic School: The “MUHAMMED YADELIEU ENGLISCH ARABIC SCHOOL“in Kanifing is an elementary school from the 1. to 6. grade with a nursery school. When I visited the school the first time at the beginning of 2016 they had about 750 children. The school was in desperate need of tables, chairs, and shelfs. Many of their classrooms were completely empty and the children were sitting on the floor. There I decided to start this foundation. In October 2017 we could send our first container to The Gambia. The school could get furniture for 3 classrooms, computers, sewing machines, books, schoolbags and many other materials.
• Al Madinah Foundation - TOGETHER TO SERVE THE NEEDY: The Al Madinah Foundation was founded on December 28, 2005 and has since then built wells in many villages and helped the needy with clothing and much more. We can confidently put our donations in their hands and rely on things to really reach the needy. We are in constant contact with the board and get picture and video documentations of the fundraising activities in The Gambia.
• Lambai Nursery and Lower Basic School
