Hariksha Peoples Welfare Trust serving for more than 8 years, we are assisting individuals, families & Communities - poor, orphan, abandoned, physically challenged, differently abled, socially deprived, diseased.
At Hariksha we completely believe in and invest in ethics, we organize the standard based service to the needy, neglected, deprived people. By understanding the needs of the underprivileged people we were able explore & gather the support in and around, to provide the best service to the beneficiaries.

Objective
Be human and serve human: Dedication to serve human beings with humanness, service and creativity, for an immediate, positive and sustainable development in all without discrimination and to be an authentic and unbiased human

Activities:
• Medical Assistance: The children are provided with needed medical assistance for their epileptic problems, appropriate medical treatment for their seasonable medical ailments. Apart from this the children are provided with the needed assistive devices (caliper, crutches, special shoes, splint) and equipments (ie., parallel bar, corner chair, wheel chair, walker, etc) to achieve their mobility. Periodical medical camp to asses their general health status by general physician, Dental Camp to treat the dental complaints, Eye camp to assess the eyesight. We support (116) physician visit for various sickness, needed appropriate treatment provided to the children. In May and August the general medical camp collaboration
• Achievement and Participation: The children Kalaiselvi and Abishekapriyan are participated the drawing competition conducted by Imagine India (NGO) on 15th of August. The children executed their talents, Kalaiselvi drawn peacock, Abisheka Priyan drawn water melon by using finger prints techniques. Our children participated along with the normal school children to integrate our children along with normal children; our children got special prizes and participation and winner certificates.
• Career Training: To bring out the inborn talents and growing talents we are conducting crafts and art training to gain two in one result. This session is useful to find the art and creative talents of the children and simultaneously we try to utilize this session as an initial vocational training session. The vocational training session teaches our children to make craft materials, they made beautiful wall hangers and flower pots. The elderly children are trained to make beautiful wall hangers using the ice sticks and flower vase using the mud pots. The mud pots colored with paint and the artificial stones / (chumki) were fixed.
• Day to Day Activities: Every day morning the children with special needs are picked up from their door step and dropped in the evening. The children are provided with biscuit in the morning break session. Balanced nutritious tasty mid time food is supplied to the children, Egg is provided to the children every week. The children are provided with two sets of stitched uniforms, 17th February 2009 District Disable Rehabilitation Officer provided the Uniforms and Slippers to the Children with special needs.

• Vazhndhu Kattuvom: Economic Empowerment, Developing and strengthening pro poor local group, Building Skills and Capacities of the poor through various trainings. The new innovative idea of training local group to address the differently abled issues through the training is excellent ideas to stimulate them find out solutions
