Help International Welfare Trust (HIWT), established in 1994, is a non-governmental, non-profit organization working to provide modern and comprehensive medical facilities to the underserved populations of Pakistan.

Our Vision
To have a Thalassemia Major Free Pakistan.

Our Mission
To improve the quality of life of thalassemia patients, and to raise awareness about the disease to help reduce its incidence and prevalence in Pakistan.

Our work
In 2005, HIWT launched a countrywide campaign and started its Thalassemia Care Center in the heart of Karachi. This Thalassemia Care Center aims to make Pakistan a Thalassemia Major free country. In order to achieve this, HIWT has been working tirelessly to educate and treat underprivileged people, and currently has 220 registered thalassemia major patients who receive free blood transfusions, treatment, medicines and lab services.

Projects:
• Help Thalassemia Care Center: HIWT has been providing 100% free of cost quality medical care and education to 260 registered Thal Stars (Thalassemia Children) for the past 9 years. Considering the harsh realities of Pakistan, where 5 out of every 100 people are effected by the disorder (with approximately 9 million people afflicted with Thalassemia minor and 90,000-100,000 people carrying Thalassemia major),
• WATER for Everyone – Project: HIWT has launched Clean and Safe Water Project with provision of Hand Pumps Installation and water wells in all districts of Sindh. Under this project 2000 number of Hands pumps will be installed and 250 number of water well will be provided in all districts. HIWT has installed Solar Water Tanks in different areas of Sindh to serve the community in better way of having Clean and Safe Water. Under this project 100 number of Solar Water Tanks will be installed in all districts.
• Eye Cataract – Project: HIWT has launched free of cost Cataract surgeries initiative to people who cannot afford the expenses of Cataract surgeries. As a guiding principle of HIWT, it is also non-discriminative initiative aimed at serving humanities with care and respect for all.
• QURBANI FI SABILILLAH - 2021 Eid Al Adha Campaign
• Help Education Program (YAQEEN): Help Education Program (YAQEEN) provides an excellent way to empower students and their families and provide them with hope of a bright future through better education. The Education Sponsorship Scheme includes students of various ages from a range of different social & economic backgrounds.
