About us

Commit to Partnership e.V., founded in 2003, focuses on current structures of injustice around the world. Commit wants to conscientize the German public that everyone is part of these structures and adds to reproducing them through their personal actions. This acknowledgement is the first step towards sustainable change.

We believe that the path to a just world depends upon a behavior change of the people in industrialized countries. Commit´s goal is to create awareness of the asymmetrical relations between the global north and south and motivate each individual to actively participate in shaping their personal environment for the better.

We try to accomplish our purpose with projects that include global education in German schools, informational booths and workshops, and organization of lecture series of various subjects.

Activities:
Global Education: Commit believes that work and projects in further “development” is not limited to “undeveloped” countries, but should also be implemented in Germany through global education work. Our global education projects include working in expanding people’s educational horizons, encouraging people to think critically, and creating awareness of complex interactions of global and local realities. Commit’s global education programs focus on anti-racism issues and critical approaches to development cooperation and volunteer services.
