Qui sommes-nous

Laughing, joy, lots of fun and, above all, variety in everyday hospital life: that's what "Zeit des Lachens" (“Time to Laugh”) brings to little patients, their relatives and hospital staff in German children's hospitals. The personal life experiences of Jacqueline Althaller were the decisive impulse for the concept development and realization of “Zeit des Lachens”. Since then, the project has received prominent support from many artists, athletes, politicians and other friends of the association. In May 2009 the initiative was transferred to a non-profit association in order to put the good idea on a broader basis in the long term.

The aim of our association "Zeit des Lachens" is to leave a lasting impression on patients, relatives and clinic employees with our campaigns. Our work should have a long-term positive effect on everyday hospital life.

The team from “Zeit des Lachens” not only organizes a “Day of Laughter” in the children's clinic, but also establish and maintain a network of contacts that the clinics can access afterwards.
In addition to the day we spend with patients, relatives and employees, we also offer laughter yoga seminars for all three groups as a means of helping people to help themselves. The techniques learned there help to master future challenges more easily and more positively. Because the participants of the course are able to put themselves in a positive mood repeatedly through certain exercises. In the often stressful everyday clinical routine, but certainly also in the private sector, a valuable and lasting gift.
