About us

The Parizat Nestling Home (PNH) was established formally in Kathmandu in 1997 as a non governmental, non profit and social organisation with the vision to provide a better and solid future to dependent children and families of prisoners.

Our motto:
To educate a girl, means to educate a mother, to educate a mother means to educate a family, to educate a family means to educate society,to educate society means to educate a nation.

Goal
Providing a safe home and a future for children in need

Our work
• Parizat Nestling Home (PNH) provides shelter to girls, whose families are inmates or got displaced during the Maoist conflict.
• PNH is an organization which acts not only as a safe haven for the girls but a home filled with love and support. After rescuing the girls from the prisons or unlivable circumstances they are given the necessities of living; shelter, security, food, health and hygiene. Responsibility is also given in the form of peer support and day to day house hold duties. The girls are given the privileged of a formal education at a private school.
• The PNH has its own Professional Vocational Training Centre (PVTC) which offers a sewing training hall, a beauty palour, a computer lab, and fine arts section. When financially supported the children partake in these activities on a regular basis.
• Over the past four years the PVTC has been providing numerous training opportunities to prisoners' family members as well as deprived and underprivileged youth and women of marginalized groups.
• Martial Arts Training to residential girls plus Self Defense training to teenager.(outsider)
• The trained girls of PNH train on self defense to girls in the village, where they live. Entire expenses bear by PNH.

Our programme works to change woman’s role and the society in Nepal.
