Qui sommes-nous

People in Dialogue (Menschen im Dialog) is an aid organization from southern Germany, founded in the small Swabian town of Neresheim. Our vision is to create additional perspectives for disadvantaged people in poor countries, so that they have the opportunity to shape their own lives on their own. We want to change as many “small worlds” as possible in a sustainable and positive way.

Mission
The empowerment of people is at the heart of our commitment. Helping people to help themselves is our credo.

Aims:
• Education funding: By education funding we mean the creation or improvement of educational offers that function independently in everyday life.
• Health promotion: Equally, training comes first in health projects, prevention has priority over other measures. This does not prevent us from providing emergency aid in particularly difficult situations, always in dialogue and on a par with the local people.
• International understanding: As far as we can, we see ourselves as ambassadors and bridge builders between people whose character, world view and everyday life could hardly be more different, and who nevertheless have the same goal i.e. to live as best they can.

This is made possible by a strong network of volunteer supporters, partners and organizations. Our strength lies in bringing the right initiatives and people together. To this end, we seek and encourage dialogue, because the whole is more than the sum of its individual parts.

Aid projects:
• COVID-19 prevention: Support for several schools and child care centres in the implementation of hygiene concepts. This should not only increase the safety for teachers, children and young people, but also for their parents, grandparents and relatives, as the knowledge is carried into the families by the pupils.
• Computer projects in schools and educational institutions. Establishment of computer rooms and qualification of teachers, both in the field of information and communication technology and in the implementation of the teaching of classic school subjects with the aid of modern teaching aids and teaching methods.
• Health-NOW: Health promotion in the Manaslu region. Planned as an education and awareness program for the prevention and treatment of uterine prolapse, our work focuses on other health-related topics for everyone in this remote region.
• Scholarships for vocational training. We are currently funding the four-year training for a health assistant and a laboratory technician.
• Support of educational offers and initiatives. One of these initiatives trains vocational school students in web design and web development within the framework of evening seminars, and establishes contacts with potential employers.

Other projects
• The association's founder, author and speaker would like to give all interested parties a real, understandable insight into the life of the people of Nepal. He also offers the book and the corresponding report “Perspectives of Nepal | Nepal from the perspective of its people” via the homepage www.perspektiven-aus-nepal.de. 100% of the proceeds from book sales and reports go to social projects in Nepal.

By arrangement, we can provide advice to other net participants, give a presentation, provide up-to-date specialist information and contacts in the field of our work.
