Qui sommes-nous

Impulse – Agency for Putting Utopia into Practice – is a registered non-profit organisation, based in Berlin and founded on 12 September 2010.

We want a sustainable society in which people, communities and natural life in all its variety can unfold their true potential. This vision gives us the job of fundamentally changing our way of life, the way we produce and consume. How can this huge transformation take place? How can this process of change be devised inclusively, democratically, globally and fairly? How is it that we know a lot about changes that ought to be made, how we ought to change, but that we act differently? How does change happen and what has all that to do with you and me – with us all?

Our work:
Impulse contributes to this huge transformation – the emergence of a sustainable, democratic and fair society. Impulse's activities:
• Further education: in practice-oriented courses, we support this transformational change by working on mindsets and instruments of change.
• Dialogue – we organise participatory dialogues and chair complex multi-stake processes, large group meetings, workshops and forums.
• Self-transformation: we assist individuals and teams in their search for vocation, purpose, and balance in their work and life.
• Organisational development: we assist companies, government organisations, societies and teams in the development of their visions, strategies and suitable organisation models.
• Network - Impulse is a network of and for our members, who have a concept of a sustainable society, who are tackling their personal development and are creating specific projects to help bring about this huge transformation.

Projects:
• Energy turnaround and democracy: the project develops and publicises formats for participatory dialogue processes in relation to local energy projects. Impulse thereby wishes to contribute to the emergence of a collaborative democracy, i.e. democracy put into practice, where people take responsibility for their communities and create their own living environment.
• The protesters: a campaign for anyone who finds that it is high time to protest. Complain about advertising!

Courses:
• Participatory formulation.
• Transformation and nature coaching
• Presencing and Theory U Learning Lab
