Chaanan Association, registered in 1997, is an association of parents of Persons with Intellectual Disability to aware and sensitize the society about the PwIDDs, to stand for their rights, to empower them, to be the voice of PwIDD. Its parent organisation is National Confederation of Parents Association PARIVAAR, worlds biggest parents
The basic theme of the association is NOTHING ABOUT US WITHOUT US.
Honest intensions, clear focus, hard work and restless support to families of PwIDDs is the identity of Chaanan Association.

Mission
To give platform to each parent in the forum to represent their special child´s rights & privileges.

Objectives of Chaanan are:
• Provide vocational training and employment opportunities to persons with intellectual disability.
• Empower the parents by organizing training workshops, conferences, lectures, counseling services and various events etc
• Provide dignified life to PwIDDs.
• Make society aware and sensitize the society for inclusion .
• To be the voice of PwIDDs and their parents by raising their issues and advocacy for their rights with government.

Major Activities and Achievements
Anything for the welfare of Learning Disables (Special Children & Adults), for quality of life, education, health and medical, rehabilitation, sports, special olympics, shelter home.

The Chairman of Chaanan Association is Rachpal Singh and Chief functionary officer is Amarjit Singh Anand.

For other net participants we can offer an expert guidance through trained staff, give an expert opinion, procure expert information and establish new contacts in the field of our work.
