Über uns

Prerna Niketan Sangh (PNS), a charitable organization, registered under the Societies Registration Act, Govt. of NCT Delhi, working for the upliftment of the physically challenged, was founded on 23rd November 1998. We are proud to state that ours is the only organization in Delhi, where physically challenged children of different age groups are given boarding, lodging, education and medical aid free of charge.
The main aim of our organization is to help, encourage and instill confidence in these children so that they can be brought to the mainstream of society.

Our work
• Our Centre-A Home away Home: Started with just five children, hundreds of physically challenged children with orthopedic impairment have got medical treatment/surgery and aids like calipers, crutches, wheel chair & tri cycles with the help from other NGOs. Presently 42 inmates including boys & girls of different age group are getting living facilities at Basti Vikas Kendra-cum-Community Centre, allocated by MCD, located at Basti Vikas Kendra cum Community Centre, E-Block, Phase-III, Sector-3, Dwarka, New Delhi–45. These children are getting formal education through Govt. School, Janak Puri and Open School along with vocational training from Delhi Council for Child Welfare (DCCW), Janak Puri.
• Learning to be self-dependent: Apart from giving food, shelter, education and medical aid including free of charge surgery through a renowned orthopedic surgeon & consultant Dr. V.K. Jain & DCCW, the organization imparts vocational training to all the children in various fields such as paper machie craftwork, greeting cards making, agarbatti rolling, wax candles, Gel wax candles, floating wax candles etc. Our candles and paper Machie work have been very popular and have been very well received by the public. We lay special emphasis on vocational training with a view to encourage the children to be self supportive and independent. Our children have taken part in different competition and won prizes in the field education, music, sports and drawing and painting etc.
• Children once considered burden by the family, NOW at PNS – Are learning to be self-reliant, getting free treatment & aid, learning skills, gaining confidence, getting love, care & affection, preparing to lead a respectful life overcoming their disability.
