Qui sommes-nous

OneAfricanChild Foundation for Creative Learning, established in 2013, is a youth-led NGO addressing the inequality in education through experiential workshops focused on global citizenship education for low-income community children in Nigeria. By focusing on Global Citizenship and Peacebuilding Education (GCED), the organisation serves to transfer skills in ethical leadership, creativity and innovation to learners, creating free spaces for self-expression, imagination and implementation to lessons learnt to address local issues.
We currently have a physical presence in Nigeria, Kenya and Benin Republic. We are a group of energetic and passionate youths championing the cause of positive change in our local communities.

Our Mission

Our Vision

Project
OneAfricanChild Creative Learning Centre: Since 2013, OneAfricanChild has supported over 12,000 children in hard-to-reach communities like Gaa Alaanu with experiential programs to improve children’s access to learning. As we celebrate our 7th anniversary, we are taking a bold step in establishing our first creative learning centre to give better opportunities to disadvantaged children in Gaa-Alaanu, Kwara state and across Nigeria. This campaign will help us achieve these four strong pillars:
• Student Centred Learning to give learners ownership in designing their learning experience.
• Literacy and Numeracy to integrate English as a Second Language into the curriculum to provide opportunities for learners to develop basic literacy and numeracy skills and build global competencies in relevant areas.
• Creative Learning using different modalities to empower learners to lead, experiment and innovate.
• Physical Education activities such as sports education to improve learner’s cognitive, socio-emotional and behavioral skills.
