Über uns

PECT - Padmanabham Education & Charitable Trust, founded in 2012-2013,is an advancing NGO taking steps towards meeting the educational and other survival needs of the needy.

PECT’s vision is to improve the quality of life for underprivileged by meeting their survival needs such as food, clothes, and shelter. PECT believes that education can bring a good change in the lives of these people.

PECT looks forward to provide educational assistance and sustaining amenities to the needy of rural areas. Also, it conducts programs related to education, health, women empowerment, environment awareness for people of the backward section of the society, with all equality and oneness.

Programme areas:
• Education: PECT has taken an initiative of educating the tribals from remote villages and localities. Thus, PECT acts as a bridge between the tribal and/or needy people and the educational facilities. In this process of imparting education, PECT also conducts several seminars and literacy sessions for such people.
• Health: PECT carries out free check-ups for the elderly and also conducts vaccination programs for the infants. Also, it organizes various seminars related to the preservation of healthiness, Yoga awareness, Meditation, Pranayama and Rehabilitation of various patients
• Livelihood: PECT conducts seminars and training sessions on Handicraft, increase in efficiency of work, and guidelines of working, etc. It also conducts workshops for the training of handicrafts with the help of PECT volunteers.
• Women Empowerment: Educating girls; Women’s Voice: PECT hears voice of suppressed women and works as a support system for them. PECT encourages these women to fight back for their rights and take decisions of their lives without getting influenced. Earning An Income: PECT empowers women to transform their lives in the direction of betterment. It helps them in earning more at the workplaces and also encourages the entrepreneurs
• Environment Awareness: Tree plantation; Water conservation programme; Alternate energy programme; Waste management
• Social Awareness: Social awareness programs regarding parenting issues, family planning, government beneficiary schemes for women and children, the importance of sanitary and hygiene, and premature marriage are among the few topics discussed at the sessions conducted under this initiative.

Our Campaigns
• Each Can Walk: PECT provides mobility to specially abled people, by providing them with wheelchairs under “Each Can Walk” campaign.
• Give Little Help A Lot: PECT reaches out to financially vulnerable tribals and provides them with pairs of clothes, blankets etc. Not only it provides clothing but also helps in the flourishment of the young generation by providing them educational wares.
• Scholarship Vidvatta Scheme: PECT, cares for unfortunate people and provides them scholarships under “Vidvatta Scheme” to educate themselves. By 2019, PECT has provided more than 360 scholarships to the deserving and aspiring students.
• Vedant Ashraya: PECT has initiated a new campaign “Vedanta Ashraya” to provide the financial help needed for education as well the accommodation of more such migrating children. Here at PECT we aim to extend a homely atmosphere to the homeless.
