Qui sommes-nous
We are a young and motivated, non-profit animal welfare association founded in 2015, which educates people all over Germany about the ethical husbandry of rabbits. We have made it our task to provide rabbit owners with advice when they have questions. We provide information about rabbit-friendly nutrition and ways to occupy the animals, we provide assistance with the construction of enclosures and support in the search for a suitable partner animal, and also help with the placement in a species-appropriate home. Improper husbandry should be eliminated through discussions, e-mail communication, information material and, if necessary, the involvement of the responsible authorities. The support of breeding rabbits for experimental animal, commercial or other purposes is expressly excluded from the purpose of the association.
We all work on a voluntary basis and are constantly learning more.
What we do
• The purpose of the association is realized in particular through the creation of information material about rabbits and the dissemination of this information.
• In addition, the purpose of the association is realized through advice on the purchase, keeping, nutrition, behaviour, occupation and diseases of rabbits. This advice is provided free of charge by phone, email or on site.
• The association supports the placement of rabbits.
• Furthermore, the association works together with other animal protection organizations through joint information events, information exchange and mutual help in emergencies.
Katharina Bode is the Chairman of Carrots are Orange.
For other net participants we can offer an expert guidance through trained staff, give an expert opinion, procure expert information and establish new contacts in the field of our work.
