Courts for Kids is an official tax-exempt organization, based in Vancouver, Washington founded in 2007.

Our mission is transforming lives through building courts and cultural exchange.

We are driven by two fundamental beliefs:
• We believe every kid throughout the globe should have an opportunity to play sports.
• We believe every person in economically developed countries should participate in an immersion experience in the developing world.
Because of these beliefs, we take teams on short term service, immersion projects throughout the developing world to build sports courts. We have completed courts in West Africa, East Africa, SE Asia, Central Asia and Central America.

Our work
• Trips are typically a week or more long and during that time we stay in the community, eat traditional local food, take part in cultural celebrations, play sports, and build friendships with the community members all while working to build the court from start to finish.
• Trip Scholarships: Trip scholarships are available for students who are motivated, committed, and willing to work hard to make this dream a reality.

Derek Nesland is the President of Courts for Kids.

For other net participants we can offer an expert guidance through trained staff, give an expert opinion, procure expert information and establish new contacts in the field of our work.
