About us

transfer e.V. is accredited as a provider of independent children´s and youth welfare services focusing on consulting and training, mostly for professionals and facilitators in the areas of
• Intercultural education
• Children´s and youth travel
• Health and well-being for young people

transfer also acts as a clearinghouse for national projects: We are actively involved in the development of children´s and youth travel as well as intercultural education both with regard to concepts and organizational structure. As a networking agency we provide training and consulting on health and well-being for young people across the entire field of youth work. We organize, support and facilitate joint projects and networks, frequently cooperating with quite different partners, in order to achieve synergy effects from the diversity of perspectives and approaches. The office in Cologne also houses an extensive reference library and archives with educational literature from the three fields of work.

transfer e.V. was founded in 1982 by a small group of professionals affiliated with the then largest West German organization for international group exchanges, the German Non-Profit Society for International Youth Exchange.
