The welfare organization Rose of Charity is a foster home for abandoned and vulnerable children founded in 2008 by Sima Moyo in response to the growing number of children orphaned by HIV/AIDS she encountered on the streets of Victoria Falls, Zimbabwe.

Our vision
To eliminate the number of OVC's in Victoria Falls and Hwange district

Our mission
To provide urgent and on-going support for OVC's through our multi-services.

Our goal
To contribute towards a sustained improvement in the quality of life of children, their families and caregivers and the broader community in Victoria Falls and Matabeleland North as we grow.

Our objectives:
• To promote a healthy family environment and protect children from all forms of abuse through economic and psychosocial support
• To increase child protection, access to basic care, support and identification of street children in Victoria Falls and Matabeleland North as a family
• To promote the prevention of HIV/AIDS by engaging the children in special programs that cater for children with disability and who have been sexually abused.

Our programs:
Rose of Charity focuses on protecting, caring for, and supporting children of the Victoria Falls community. We welcome people of all backgrounds, especially those who require economic and psychosocial support due to homelessness, disease, physical disabilities, sexual abuse, parental mortality, and poverty. HIV-positive children in particular (educated and treated at Rose of Charity) are encouraged to integrate into the community of local children to remove the stigma of the disease.

• Believe in Girls workshops/Skills trainnng.
• Income Generating projects: We have several Income generating projects that we are involved in as an organization. Amongst these are sewing (which we are currently running on a small scale but we aim to expand when we relocate to our new site) Chicken poultery farming, and gardening.
• Volunteering: Volunteers get the opportunity to be hands on with the kids through various activities which include but are not limited to Sports, Agriculture, Arts and Crafts, Poultry rearing, feeding and many other fun activities available.

Sima Moyo is the Founder and Project Director of Rose of Charity.

For other net participants we can offer an expert guidance through trained staff, give an expert opinion, procure expert information and establish new contacts in the field of our work.
