About us
Rowing Together is a nonprofit organization, founded in April 2016 and based in Cox, Alicante (Spain), with a common purpose, to HELP anyone who needs it where they need it. The team consists of firefighters, boat owners, rescuers, doctors, communication managers and project coordinators.
What we do?
We intend to perform a series of actions such as:
• Development of activities and implementation of projects aimed at ensuring respect and compliance with human rights.
• Action in favor of victims in situations of humanitarian emergency.
• The relief of people affected by accidents, catastrophes, conflicts or other emergency situations.
• Collaboration, participation or promotion of solidarity actions, development cooperation, social welfare and dignity of people.
Activities:
• Today, this NGO assists pregnant women and all types of women in the refugee camp of Moria, Lesvos ( Greece )
• We have a clinic there, equipped with an ultrasound machine, a medical team, consisting of gynecologists, midwives, pediatricians and nurses. In this camp, some survivors of the Syrian massacre are crowded, under the cold and the most absolute precariousness.
Needs:
Rowing Together NGO is financed by financial contributions from the donors themselves and donations from individuals, companies and institutions.
Expenses include:
• Personal Media: The team consists of 4 people: the translator, the coordinator a gynecologist and another doctor or a nurse.
• Medical equipment and medicines for our clinic.
• Transportation: Car for transfers to the field from our base of personnel and material, plane tickets, etc.
• Accommodation and maintenance: daily rental and maintenance of the equipment
• Other expenses: insurance and incidentals.
Jorge James is the Co-Founder of Rowing Together.
For other net participants we can offer an expert guidance through trained staff, give an expert opinion, procure expert information and establish new contacts in the field of our work.
