Sobre nosotros

The 100 People Foundation is a non-profit organization founded in 2004 that asks the question, “If the world were 100 People, what would it look like?” Through art, media and education we work with schools, students and communities around the world to begin to understand our world neighbours.

Our mission is to create a global portrait of humanity that captures the visions, values and aspirations of the 6.7 billion of us sharing the planet. To accomplish this, we have embarked on a global journey to meet and take portraits of 100 people who represent the full spectrum of humanity. Using the mediums of film, photography, and educational programs, we are fostering appreciation, respect and peace among the citizens of the world.

The 100 People website is our platform to engage the public, and provides a venue for us to collaborate and communicate with schools and communities around the world. The site includes our collection of videos, photographs, and accompanying lesson plans, a venue to nominate and view 100 People representatives, and galleries featuring student work.

The media created by the 100 People Foundation is intended to educate, entertain and inspire participants to learn more about world geography, culture, language, religion, music and our shared resources

In 2008 "100 People" had a vision to broaden the project's focus beyond the people who represent the world's population, and look at the issues that connect them.
"100 People" created the "Global Issues Through Our Lens" phase of the project to look at ten common global issues through what they call the “100 People lens,” from water, to food, to energy, to health, to transportation, to economy, to education, to shelter, to war and to waste.

Lisa Frank is the Director of Programs and Production of the 100 People Foundation.

For other net participants we can establish new contacts in the field of our work.
