Sobre nosotros

Better Africa Foundation (BAF) was founded in 1999 and is a non profit public benefit corporation for the people of Africa.

Better Africa Foundation exists to promote better life in Africa. The Foundation actively addresses and works on the issues of the environment, human rights, medical education and treatment (especially HIV and AIDS), sports education and activities among primary and high school students, youth education and cultural exchange programs as the vehicle for involving volunteers to address these issues.

The following West African countries will be the focus of the foundation: Ghana, Togo, Benin and Nigeria.

Programs:
• The Environment: BAF focuses primarily on environmental education and assisting local and indigenous organizations to help create a clean and livable earth.
• Human Rights: BAF sponsors seminars on community organizing wherever it is needed in Africa. Democratic ideals are encouraged. The major focus of BAF, however, is to make sure that the RIGHTS of the individual to be FREE are respected.
• Medical Assistance: BAF works to support indigenous organizations in the area of medical assistance to the population most impacted by AIDS. We work on educating people about AIDS. Our focus, in education, is on primary and high school students.
• Sports Education & Activities: The foundation supports and promotes Soccer, Football, Basketball, Baseball and other sports activities among the youth. We help to create Leagues and support whatever is already in place in these countries. We introduce Baseball, Basketball and Football to those countries in Africa who do not already have them. Uniforms and sports equipment are supplied to Primary and High Schools participating in our program.
• Youth Education: BAF assists any child willing to go to school. We also assist those who want to attend Trade Schools in Africa.
• Cultural and Work Exchange: The Foundation develops programs for Americans to visit some of these African countries in order to learn about their culture and to do some volunteer work in chosen villages in Africa.
