The Hope Foundation is a registered Irish charity set up in 1999 to help restore basic human rights to the street children of Kolkata (Calcutta). HOPE today has offices in Ireland, the UK, Germany and India.
The Hope Foundation funds many different projects that have the single aim of changing the lives of street and slum children and their families.
Our goal is to provide supports and skills that will enable children and their families to build a better future for themselves, free of poverty.
We work with 16 Indian partner organisations on projects in:
• Healthcare: Primary Healthcare Project and HOPE Hospitals
• Child protection
• Drug rehabilitation
• Vocational training
We also fund eight residential homes where children receive 24-hour care and all the support they need to stay in mainstream school.
JP O' Sullivan is the Projects Manager at The Hope Foundation.
For other net participants we can offer an expert guidance through trained staff, give an expert opinion, procure expert information and establish new contacts in the field of our work.
