About us

The main initiator and source of inspiration for our present work was Dorothea Wenzel, who founded BAHATI in 2002 and built it up.

The objective of the society „BAHATI, opportunities for young girls“ is the paying of secondary school fees for female AIDS orphans in the Kwale District of Kenya, as well as supporting their vocational training once they have got their school leaving certificate.

In addition we support small projects such as renovation work in schools and other education facilities in the Kwale district. We provide awareness training to increase understanding of renewable energy and the maintenance of resources.
The goals of the society are attained by:

• raising cash donations and contributions in kind
• personal contact with our partners on the spot
• campaigns
• public relations.

Detailed information about us can be found at: www.bahati.org.

We can offer other net participants on request; advice, a presentation, up to date information and contacts in the field of our work.
