The National Welfare Foundation (NWF) was founded in 1993 by Dr. Agha Mahmood Raza Syed in Lahore, Pakistan. Dr. Agha Mahmood Raza Syed stood among the first 10 renowned personalities in the field of Medicine, Surgery and Gynecology.
The National Welfare Foundation is working in areas of health and education. A major project is Surriya Family Hospital, Township, Lahore, Pakistan. By the grace of almighty Allah, on self-help basis, they are now successfully running a six-beds hospital here in Township with 100 % necessary equipments and complete operation theater. In this hospital they provide all the necessities regarding mother and child care. The hospital has doctors on its panel, specialized in the field of Gynecology and Pediatrics for the deserving and needy. The services of its hospital are available round the clock. In addition to this, the foundation is active in the field of child education, character building and educate masses about family planning matters.
The organization plans its extension in the near future. For this the board of directors is constantly making contacts within and outside the country with such institutions for extending moral and financial support to such a noble project to be fulfilled.
Umair Akhtar Chaudhary is the Vice-President of the National Welfare Foundation.
